“And here I was just trying to be spontaneous,” Jack said finally, looking down at the younger girl. “Is it… um… bad that I don’t know what happened? I got sort of busy, and I forgot to test , and I felt bad about it so I just came over and-” She stopped herself before she launched into a ramble. Coming over had not been something she would plan on doing if she had not felt exceedingly guilty about everything… And, well, the guilt had yet to dissipate, so here she was. Clearly, Tori wasn’t doing so well, but Jack did not really know what to say because she had trouble assessing what was wrong. Based on what she knew and observed, she could probably hazard a guess at “sick,” but asking too many questions rarely worked out well for her. Also she did not know who was listening.
A small smile easily appeared on the brunettes dry lips as she stared at Jack. She could lie and just say she had the flu, got to dehydrated and had to say home but, something told her not to lie to the other girl, she didn’t think she could anyway. “Someone drugged me.” A giggle flew passed her lips and she bit her lip, shaking her head. It wasn’t funny, and she knew it but, it sounded funny to say. “Someone put something in my drink at the ravine. I don’t even remember what they looked like though. And my parents are on vacation, and my life sucks.” Sighing, she stared away from the other girl for a second. Hazy brains didn’t make for good conversation. “You can come sit or something, I’m not contagious. Just tired.”
