“No, I, uhm… I’ve been trying to explain it to you,” Jack said shyly. Closing her eyes, she went into her own head, speaking softly. It was not easy for her to say all of this, but she figured that she had to. “I don’t think that I want to just be friends. Or friends that kiss, even if I don’t know what I want out of something romantic.” Pulling her legs up (she only had socks on, so Tori could not complain too much about clean socks), she prayed to whatever power was listening that everything went all right. “I don’t have anything else for at least an hour and a half, so, well, um. If you want to talk to me, then it’s all your decision.”
Listening to the other girl speak, Tori bit her lip. This was sort of what she’d been waiting for, for a while even if she wouldn’t admit it to herself. “Maybe I should’ve made you promise not to get attached to me.” she teased softly, vaguely remembering when she had promised not to get attached to Jack even if they kissed. Shrugging, she slid over slightly, just to give the other girl a bit more room. “Well, I do, so– I guess you should get comfy.”
