Zig Novak wasn’t exactly school dance material, but he also wasn’t Soc date materiel either so it looked like tonight was a night of firsts across the board. At one point, Zoe escaped to presumably go say hi to her friends, leaving Zig all by his lonesome — not that he minded too much. This place was overwhelming, especially after the events of the last Soc-Greaser gathering. He scanned the room for a place to eat his cake and drink his spiked punch until his gaze landed on a familiar head of dark curls. Zig headed in that direction, pulling out a chair next to the girl and settling into a place, plate and cup placed in front of him. He took a bite of the cake, chewing it thoughtfully and slowly before swallowing it down with some punch and finally glancing over at Tori. “Who had the nerve to stand up the great Tori Santamaria?”
Okay, so maybe the music wasn’t that terrible because if she was being honest, Tori’s toe was sort of tapping in her terribly uncomfortable shoes. Looking over at the boy next to her, she smiled brightly, frown actually turning upside down. Zig seemed to be the only male she could get comfortable around, which wasn’t exactly surprising because of the connection they had but still. “Uh, no one important. Just a person” she didn’t really want to say who she was here with, she didn’t think that Zig would judge her, she just really wasn’t ready to tell someone about what was really going on with her and not get the reaction she wanted especially when the boy, who had a crumb on his face, happened to have an opinion that meant a little more than a lot to her. “We were here together, sh– they just disappeared.” Reaching over to recover from her almost slip up, the brunette wiped the crumb off his face with ease.
